Frequently asked questions
The questions people actually ask at the door, answered without the runaround.
The basics
When does FullYear launch?
Fall 2027, in Ottawa, with the whole product planned for the first day. Between now and then we’re talking with homeowners at the door, talking with the companies they use, and building it. The founding list hears before anyone else.
What is it, exactly?
A digital property manager for your home. Every crew you already use, the calendar for the year and the record of everything done to the house, in one place on your phone. It knows what the house needs and when.
On Autopilot it also does the seasonal asking: it reaches out to your crews, lines up dates inside the windows you set, and hands the decision back to you if nobody answers.
Where will I get it?
On the App Store and Google Play, when it launches. You sign in with your Apple or Google account, so there’s no new password to make up.
Can I download it today?
Not yet. Nothing on this site takes a booking or asks you for money. The only thing to sign up for right now is the founding list: your name, email and postal code, plus a few optional questions about the companies you already use. That’s what tells us what to build first.
Do I have to switch companies?
No, and that’s the whole idea. You keep the lawn guy, the snow company and the gutter crew you already have. If you ever want to look around, you can see other companies near you, and the first message is yours to send.
Who actually does the work?
Your crews. FullYear doesn’t cut grass, clear snow or clean gutters, and it doesn’t employ anyone who does. It keeps the list, the calendar and the record, and on Autopilot it does the seasonal asking.
My house is new and I don’t have anyone yet.
Then start with the same search FullYear uses for one-off jobs: say what you need, lawn or snow included, see which companies do that work in your area, and message the ones you pick from your own phone. It’s free. The calendar, the record and what’s due soon work the same with one crew as with ten.
Is it only for Ottawa?
Nothing in the product is tied to a postal code. Ottawa is where we launch because it’s home, and because a street works better the more homes on it are using FullYear. If you’re somewhere else, join the founding list anyway and we’ll tell you when it’s ready for you.
What you hear from it
Will this spam me?
No. There are four kinds of notification and no more, and never more than one a day unless something is actually wrong. Each kind can be turned off on its own.
There’s no streak to keep up, no weekly digest, no tips, and nothing that exists to pull you back in. In a quiet month you may hear nothing at all.
What if I don’t want notifications?
Turn them off, in the settings or on your phone. Nothing stops working: the record still fills in and, on Autopilot, your crews still get asked in time. You just check it yourself instead of being told.
Do I have to open it for it to work?
On Autopilot, no. After setup your gutter crew still gets asked and your snow company still hears from you before its book fills. Opening FullYear is for looking something up.
Your crews
Do my crews need to download anything?
No. They get a text and an email with a one-screen link: confirm a day, suggest another, or say not this year. Or they can just reply with a day, the way they’d reply to you. There’s no account, nothing to install, and it costs them nothing, ever.
Why would my lawn guy answer a text from a company he’s never heard of?
Because it isn’t really from a stranger. Every request names you and your address and says it’s sent on your behalf, so it reads as what it is: a message about his own customer’s house.
If you’d like to give him a heads-up first, FullYear writes the line and you send it from your own phone in one tap.
What if a crew doesn’t answer?
FullYear nudges once by text on day two and emails once on day four. On day five it hands the decision back to you: call them, text them yourself, or find someone else. The request stays open, so a late reply still books. On Concierge, FullYear can make that call for you.
Will you give my number to other companies?
No. Your number never goes to a company you didn’t pick. When you look at other companies near you, or search for a one-off job, you see them. They don’t see you until you send the first message yourself.
Does FullYear check the companies it shows me?
In one narrow way. Heating, gas and electrical companies show their TSSA or ESA registration from the public registers, with the date it was checked. Beyond that FullYear doesn’t check anyone’s work, insurance or references, and it says so on the screen. It never ranks companies, and nobody can pay to appear.
Money and privacy
How much does it cost?
Three plans. Free keeps every crew in one place with the calendar, the record, your documents and what’s due soon. Autopilot does the asking and knows your furnace, filters and warranties. Concierge covers up to three homes and makes the call when texts don’t land.
There are no numbers on this site yet, on purpose: we’re testing prices at Kanata doors this fall, and the founding list gets them by email before this page does. See what’s in each plan.
How do I pay my crews?
Directly, the way you always have. Nothing about that changes, and FullYear never takes a cut of what you pay them.
What do you do with my information?
We don’t sell it or share it with anybody. Forms on this site reach our inbox through FormSubmit, a form-delivery service, and go nowhere else. The founding list is your name, email and postal code, plus whatever you choose to tell us about the companies you use, and that’s all we keep. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from anyone else’s servers.
Once FullYear is running, nothing you upload is ever shown to a crew. A crew is told what it needs to do the job: your name, your address, what you want done and when.
The founding list
What do founding homes get?
Four things. You hear first: the plans and the prices before this website has them. Early access: you get FullYear before it opens to everyone else. Your first year free: Autopilot free for a year, then a founding rate locked for life. And you shape what gets built, because the founding list is who we’re building it with.
The door hanger said spring 2027. What changed?
We moved the launch to fall 2027 so FullYear opens with everything in it, instead of arriving in pieces over the following year. Founding homes still get everything the hanger promised: FullYear before anyone else, the plans first, and the first year of Autopilot free, then a founding rate locked for life.
What happens after I join?
Nothing, until we email you. No calls, no weekly newsletter. You’ll hear from us when there’s something worth hearing: the prices, the first look at it, and when it’s time to set up your house.
I look after my parents’ house, or a rental. Does this work for me?
Yes. Concierge covers up to three homes, and more can be added. Each house keeps its own crews, calendar and record, and the people in it can have their own level: sees everything, can approve dates, or just gets told. Tell us on the founding list and we’ll talk to you first.
Other
Where does AI come into it?
In a few specific places. It reads the label on your furnace or water heater so you don’t have to type the model. It reads a crew’s reply, like “Thursdays are fine, not the 14th,” and works out what it means, so the right date lands on your calendar. It answers your questions about your own house from your own record. And on Concierge, it makes the call when texts don’t land, saying right away who it’s calling for and never pretending to be a person.
Everything else is ordinary rules: your windows, your reminders, your record. When it isn’t sure what a crew meant, it asks you instead of guessing, and it never commits you to anything outside the windows you set. The messages your crews receive are wording we wrote, not something made up on the fly.
Can I see what it sends to my crews?
Yes. Every message FullYear sends on your behalf is in the thread for you to read, along with the reply.
I run a service company. What does this mean for me?
Nothing to install, no account, and it never costs you anything. Your customers’ requests reach you as a text and an email. Confirm with one tap, or just reply with a day. The For crews page has the details.
